Regents Exam Retakes - August 2019
All Regents exams will be available for students to retake in August. Tests will be administered at Proctor High School. The schedule is listed below.
- Late registration deadline is July 12
- After July 12, all students needing to be registered for the exam will be considered a walk-in

Earth Science Regents Exam
All students taking the Earth Science Regents Exam must take the
performance test. A student who does not take the performance test will
not be allowed, under any circumstance, to take the Regents.
Those students who are only taking the Walk-in Regents Exams will
have to take the performance test on Monday, August 12, 2019, at Proctor
A letter will be sent to the student’s home address indicating the time they
must report for the performance test. If you have questions or concerns,
contact the summer school office at the number listed on this brochure.

Middle and High School Summer School Information
Registration begins June 3, 2019
Registration Deadlines: Middle School - June 21 at 12 pm
High School - June 26 at 3pm
Please keep in mind that we do not provide busing. Students must provide their own transportation.

Monday-Wednesday the first week and Monday-Thursday the remaining weeks, with the exception of only Monday the final week

Who Must Attend?
Junior High - Held at OHM BOCES Middle Settlement Academy
- All students failing (final average of 64 or lower) one or two of the following courses, must take and pass those classes in summer school to be eligible for promotion: Math, English, Science, Social Studies
- All students failing three of the above-listed courses may either be retained in that grade or promoted with summer school requirements, depending on Principal’s decision.
- All students failing all four of the above-listed courses will be retained in that grade
High School – Held at TR Proctor High School, Utica
- Any students failing (final average of 64 or lower) any of the following courses are strongly encouraged to register for and attend summer school, as we cannot guarantee that we can schedule the failed courses the following year: English, Math, Social Studies, Science
- Additionally, in order to be eligible for promotion to the next grade level students must have at least 5 ½ credits to be considered a sophomore and 11 credits to be considered a junior. Students that do not meet these requirements will not be allowed to take courses at that grade level.
STEM Exploration Camps at SUNY Polytechnic in Utica for students ages 6-18!
Students expand their STEM horizons while being introduced to the faculty and state-of-the-art facilities at the SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) Utica campus!
Need-based scholarships are available.
MVCC Jump Start
This summer bridge program, supported through SUNY Performance Improvement Funding, provides incoming students with the academic skills necessary to be successful in their college experience at no-cost.
The program runs July 8th to August 9th and is for rising seniors (class of 2020) or college freshman to be (class of 2019).

SUNY Upstate Summer SessionsSUNY Upstate Medical University (Syracuse, NY) will be hosting Summer Information Sessions for Medical Imaging Sciences & Radiation Therapy, Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant. It's an opportunity for prospective students to learn about the careers, our degree programs along with admissions requirements and the application process.

Seniors - Registration is underway for College Connection for Fall 2019 Please see the Course Selection Guide for additional information. Registration information is available in the counseling office. New registrations must allow time for placement testing, etc. prior to the deadline.

College Credits for Dual Enrollment
Seniors - College credits earned through dual enrollment with any college or university or earned any other way whiile in high school will not appear on your high school transcript, which includes only high school credits. If you want your intended college to be informed of any college credits earned, you must contact the college through which the credits were earned and request that they send a transcript to your intended college. MVCC transcripts can be requested at www.mvcc.edu/registrar/transcripts.
