• February Update

The Battle of the Books Club has been busy reading, discussing and playing review games in order to learn the 20 books that they will be tested on this year. In January, each club member took a quiz to gain entrance to the local Battle of the Books competition that took place earlier this month. During the competition, students had to “buzz in” game-show-style to answer questions based on direct quotes or statements related to the books they have been studying.

Based on their book club assessments and their performances during the local battle, Kaylee Frank, Jaden Roback, Liam Mahardy and Lindzee Brush were selected to represent the club during the final battle. They will compete in the regional Battle of the Books competition on March 18 at Hamilton College, where they will face off against the top teams from several local middle schools including: Clinton, Dolgeville, Holland Patent, Little Falls, Mount Markham, Richfield Springs and Waterville.

All members of the book club will be traveling to the regional Battle of the Books Competition to cheer them on. We’d like to congratulate the entire club on all of their hard work and wish them good luck in March!
