Chemistry is the study of matter and energy. In Regents Chemistry, students explore the nature of the atom and its behavior in depth. Topics include, but are not limited to: atomic structure, bonding, types of reactions, stoichiometry, solutions, acids and bases, organic chemistry, and nuclear chemistry. In order to be eligible to take the Regents examination, students must complete at least 1200 satisfactory laboratory minutes. Chemistry is a physical science course.
