Our campus is busy with school in session, and great progress on our Capital Project! The emergency project at our bus garage is complete. That, combined with the paving around the side of the bus garage, continues our goal of making our campus safe for everyone.
Many of you have commented on the work happening at the top of our campus on the marquee. The goal was to have the marquee represent the former mills that New York Mills is known for. We couldn’t be more thrilled with how the new sign will welcome everyone to this campus, and provide us with another way to communicate the wonderful things going on here! The electronic sign should be installed soon.
In addition, our bleachers and press box have been delivered. The installation will begin next week. These bleachers will be a beautiful backdrop to our track and football field.
We are still awaiting final State Education Department approval of our energy performance contract that will improve classroom lighting, and provide better controls for our maintenance equipment. We are also waiting for the final approval of our Capital Outlay Project of updating the Nurse’s Office to better meet the needs of our students — and our nurse.
Pictures will be coming soon!
