Curtain Up! Mr. Williams and the Elementary Choir Prepare for the Winter Concerts

The elementary choir is preparing for two highly anticipated concerts on December 16 (K-3 at 1:30 p.m. and 4-6 at 5:30 p.m.). The students have been working diligently this year, tackling a larger repertoire that even included a piece for the recent Veterans Day Celebration.
A significant success for the program has been the engagement of returning students and the efficiency of the new fourth-grade class. Mr. Williams, elementary choir director, notes that students are actively applying the knowledge gained in general music to master their choir pieces, demonstrating a strong investment in music education.
Mr. Williams offers an open invitation to the entire community: "The arts truly thrive, when the community arrives." He encourages families to support the students’ love of music by singing along at home and attending the performances.
The choir curriculum emphasizes crucial life skills, specifically responsibility and communication. Students are routinely asked to reflect immediately after singing to identify areas for improvement or success, fostering self-assessment skills essential for musical and personal growth.
