From MBA to Marauder: Spotlighting New Business Teacher Mr. Maycock

After completing his master’s degree in business administration, Mr. Maycock pivoted from a traditional corporate career path to join the New York Mills Union Free School District as a first-year teacher. He is excited to grow the program by bringing in fresh ideas, real-world connections and hands-on learning experiences.

Over the past year, Mr. Maycock has focused on developing a new curriculum and building his confidence as a full-time educator. He aims to expand the program next year by offering college-level dual credit courses for students.

Mr. Maycock is dedicated to being an active part of the Marauder community: “I actively participate in events, attend many of my students' games and enjoy being a part of the school community.”

By embedding real-world competencies into his courses, Mr. Maycock provides students with transferable skills they can use in their everyday lives and future careers.
