Kindergarten Moving Up Ceremony
On June 22, the hallways of New York Mills Elementary School were filled with an extra dose of excitement, pride and maybe a few happy tears. The school held their annual Kindergarten Moving Up ceremony, celebrating the bright and resilient young learners of the Class of 2038.
The auditorium was packed with proud parents and loved ones as well as teachers and staff, all gathering to cheer on the District's youngest scholars. The ceremony was a beautiful reflection of the school year. The students took to the stage one by one; they proudly walked across the stage to receive their official certificates, marking their successful completion of kindergarten. Throughout the event, teachers and administrators shared heartfelt words, reflecting on how much the children have grown, not just academically but socially and emotionally, since September.
With certificates proudly in hand and a year of foundational learning behind them, these young Marauders have officially marked the end of a fantastic first chapter. They are now ready to take on their next big adventure: first grade! Congratulations to the Class of 2038!
