Annual K-12 Open House Welcomes Families Back to School
On September 17, the New York Mills UFSD hosted its annual K-12 Open House, drawing a crowd of enthusiastic families, educators and staff members. The well-attended event provided parents and guardians an invaluable opportunity to step inside the classrooms, connect directly with their children's teachers and gain insight into the upcoming academic year.
Throughout the evening, teachers walked families through classroom expectations, learning goals and daily routines. Classroom walls were already lined with impressive assignments, offering parents and guardians a firsthand look at what students have been working on since opening day. Beyond the classroom, families explored various ways to stay engaged in the school community, including signing up for the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and discovering volunteer roles across the District.
The energy across the building was contagious as teachers enjoyed meeting parents and guardians and students proudly guided their families through the halls to show off their favorite spaces. The evening served as a fantastic celebration of community partnership and set a wonderfully positive tone for the entire 2026–2027 school year!
