Career Day

On May 28, students in grades six through eight at New York Mills were introduced to a wide array of career paths during the school's Career Day. This highly successful event was made possible thanks to a special collaboration with the Oneida-Herkimer-Madison (OHM) BOCES School and Business Alliance (SABA).

Students had a fantastic opportunity to discover and learn about different career paths from the following presenters, featuring a keynote by Sara Miller from MVCC:

  • Griffiss Institute – Robert Kaminski
  • Mohawk Valley Community Action Agency (MVCAA) – Daisy Rosa
  • Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) – Sara Miller
  • Oneida County Sheriff's Department – Deputy Boyko
  • Rome Fire Department – Justin Cianfrocco
  • SUNY Polytechnic Institute – Malik Johnson
  • Utica Public Library – Ray Hart
