Class of 2025 Commencement

Class of 2025 Commencement

On June 20, the 42 students in the class of 2025 became the newest graduates of New York Mills Jr./Sr. High School. During the annual commencement ceremony, the graduates were celebrated and recognized for the hard work and dedication they displayed throughout their educational journey.

The ceremony began with opening remarks from Superintendent of Schools Mrs. Michele D. LaGase. Kindergarten through 12 Executive Principal Mrs. Mary Facci then delivered the principal's address and recognized the valedictorian, Emily Cognetti, and salutatorian, Heidi Cilbrith. Emily Cognetti gave the valedictory address, followed by a speech from Class of 2025 President Alexa Grande.

After a senior song selection, "The Journey," arranged by Joseph M. Martin, the student-selected speaker Mr. Stephen Davis addressed the graduates. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of diplomas to each graduate by Mrs. LaGase, Mrs. Facci, and Interim K-12 Principal Mrs. Denise DiSpirito. As the seniors were officially declared graduates, Mrs. Facci led them in the traditional turning of the tassel. Following this, the graduates sang the alma mater, and the recessional, "Manchester March," was led by the New York Mills High School band.

Congratulations to the entire Class of 2025! We wish you the very best in all your future endeavors.
