Jr./Sr. High School Band and Chorus Winter Concert 2025
On December 16, the New York Mills Music Department proudly presented the Jr./Sr. High School Band and Chorus Winter Concert at the New York Mills Union Free School auditorium. The performance featured the musical talents of students in the Jr./Sr. high concert band, Sr. high concert band, 7-12 jazz band, Jr./Sr. high concert choir and handbell choir. Families, friends and classmates were treated to a joyful blend of holiday favorites and technical masterpieces that filled the room with festive spirit.
• Jr./Sr. High Concert Band (directed by Mr. James Pierce) performed:
o “Holiday Wish” (Randall D. Standridge)
o “The Huron Carol” (arr. John Edmondson)
o “Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy” (arr. Robert W. Smith and Michael Story)
• Sr. High Concert Band (directed by Mr. James Pierce) performed:
o “Ukrainian Bell Carol” (arr. Richard Saucedo)
o “The Christmas Song” (arr. Michael Sweeney)
• 7-12 Jazz Band (directed by Mr. James Pierce) performed:
o “Up on the Housetop” (arr. Paul Clark)
• Jr./Sr. High Concert Choir (directed by Teresa Lovecchio, accompanied by Mindy Polarolo) performed:
o “Carol of the Bells” (M. Leontovich)
o “The Holiday Season” (arr. Roger Emerson)
o “Once Upon A December” (Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty)
o “Christmas Dance” (Darren Criss)
o “Hallelujah Chorus” (Handel)
