On September 17, New York Mills Jr./Sr. High School student Madison Dobson was celebrated for her outstanding participation in the OHM BOCES Summer Regional Program for Excellence (RPE). The RPE program provides students with valuable, real-world internships. Madison completed her internship at the Slocum-Dickson Medical Group Pediatrics Department.
During a ceremony at the OHM BOCES, Madison and other participants were recognized for their achievements and shared their summer learning experiences. Students reflected on how their hands-on internships -- which spanned fields like healthcare, veterinary medicine, media, emergency services and aerospace -- helped them make more informed decisions about their future career paths.
