Board of Education Announces Interim Superintendent of Schools

The New York Mills Union Free School District Board of Education has appointed Dr. Kathleen Davis as interim superintendent to lead the district while it searches for a permanent successor to retiring superintendent Dr. Joanne Shelmidine. Dr. Davis will begin duties as District Superintendent on October 1, 2022.

The Board of Education is pleased to welcome Dr. Davis to the New York Mills school community. We value her extensive experience and knowledge in leading schools and districts. We look forward to working with her as we continue to progress on our district goals through this transition period.

Dr. Davis has served as superintendent of schools for the Holland Patent Central School District, interim superintendent of schools for the Canastota Central School District, Waterville Central School District, Oneida City School District and most recently the Geneva City School District.
