On October 31, the New York Mills Elementary held its annual Halloween Parade for students in grades Kindergarten through third. During the parade, students displayed their festive Halloween costumes and walked around the track for all to see. Among the teachers that supported the paraders were students in grades four to six, parents/guardians and administration. Students came dressed as Wednesday Addams, Barbie, Pokémon, Mermaids, Dinosaurs, Super Mario, Superheroes and Princesses.
Through combined efforts of students, staff, parents, and community members, our mission is to foster the confidence, knowledge, cognition, and character necessary to instill a strong work ethic, to create an environment of tolerance and respect, and to ignite an attitude of inquiry and enthusiasm for learning that will enable students to become productive, responsible citizens.
